Alexander Wang’s spring/summer 2012 campaign film, directed by James Lima and starring model and Goodwill ambassadress Liya Kebede, was screened during New York fashion week in an unusual setting. Using arcade video games and racing cars as the initial inspiration, the site-specific installation went directly to the streets. Installed in an empty car park under the High Line in the Chelsea Gallery District, the windows of two crashed Chevrolet Monte Carlos’ projected the film against a staged grid of florescent lights.

With creative direction by Christopher Simmonds, the installation was designed and produced by Matthew Shattuck of Dissident Industries.
